Video: Co-Creating Systemic Change in Migration
Featured video from the Refugees & Migrants in Our Common Home symposium at the Universidad de La Laguna—held following Pope Leo XIV’s visit to Tenerif where co-facilitators Michele Pistone and Angela Lopez-Egea Vives led a session presenting the initiative’s virtual working groups and the use of the Compassionate Systems Change framework.
Mandala for Systems Change in Action
The session highlights how this community of practice and action is using the Mandala for Systems Change to design and shape global projects designed to turn shared vision into concrete action.
Working with this holistic systems change planning and design tool, they are developing strategic initiatives to empower refugee and migrant communities, including
- the Global Migration Academy, a multidisciplinary, 14-module teaching repository.
- Refugee and Migrant Scholars Network, designed to support displaced scholars and community-engaged research.
- Student Chapters Program, empowering university students to drive localized advocacy and service.
Led by Villanova University’s Mother Cabrini Institute on Immigration, Refugees & Migrants in Our Common Home, is a global initiative that brings together academics, NGOs, and community partners to co-create concrete Action Plans in teaching, research, advocacy, and service
